Price County Revolving Loan Fund (RLF)

This fund assists local entrepreneurs with start-up or expanding business ventures. The Price County RLF provides gap financing to encourage investment, facilitate the creation of permanent year-round jobs, encourage retention and expansion of existing businesses, attract new business, and encourage development of modern industrial technology.

The Xcel Energy Loan Fund

Xcel Energy provides gap financing for manufacturing
and "Main Street" businesses to help Price County communities grow. Xcel Energy customers can use this financing for working capital, equipment purchases, and building construction or expansion. For more information,

Price County banks and credit unions offer a wide variety
of finance plans to serve the needs of new and existing
local businesses as well as businesses relocating to

Northwest Regional Planning

The Northwest Regional Planning Commission (NWRPC)
was created in 1959 by local units of government of
northwest Wisconsin. The Commission is a cooperative venture of Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Iron, Price, Rusk, Sawyer, Taylor, and Washburn Counties and the
tribal nations of Bad River, Red Cliff, Lac du Flambeau,
Lac Courte Oreilles, and St. Croix.

Professional services include preparing state and federal grant applications, creating local economic development strategies, advising on the creation of economic development facilities such as enterprise centers, facilitating local business expansions, and helping develop Tax Increment Districts.

Agricultural Development Zone Designation

The Agricultural Development Zone encourages agricultural business clustering. Eligible industries must be tied to the growth, production, processing, manufacturing, and distribution of agricultural and food products. Tax credits are based on the number of jobs retained and/or created and the combined hourly wage and benefits offered for these jobs.

Community Development Zone

Wisconsin's Community Development Zone (CDZ) Program helps expanding businesses, start-ups or businesses relocating to Wisconsin. The CDZ Program provides tax benefits to improve both the quality and quantity of employment opportunities for area residents. Statewide
more than $38 million in tax benefits are available to assist businesses that meet certain requirements and are located
in, or are willing to locate in, one of Wisconsin's 22
